Prashanth Vastred’s journey began in a small village in Karnataka and went on to span technology, entrepreneurship and management consulting, including roles with KPMG and PwC in South Africa, where he had been working since 2006. In 2018, he returned to India and joined his wife, Dr. Yamuna B S, with a shared vision of making authentic, doctor-led Ayurvedic care more accessible.
Together, they built Guduchi Ayurveda, combining Dr. Yamuna’s clinical expertise with Prashanth’s vision for creating a structured and accessible healthcare organisation.
Guduchi Ayurveda was built on the belief that traditional Ayurveda, combined with a structured and modern approach to healthcare, can play a meaningful role in managing chronic lifestyle conditions. Among these, Type 2 diabetes became a key area of focus, leading to the development of India’s Only Dual-Target Diabetes Reversal System Activating Beta Cell Function and Reversing Insulin Resistance.
Today, Guduchi Ayurveda has supported 63,000+ diabetes patients through its growing network of clinics and online consultation across India. What began as a shared vision has grown into a larger mission—to make doctor-led Ayurvedic diabetes care more accessible and help 30 lakh people by 2028 move towards better metabolic health.
