Irimedadi[IRD] mouth rinse is a alcohol free mouthwash made with  Manjishtha (Rubia cordifolia), Khadira (Acacia catechu), Til oil (Sesamum inidicum), Clove (Syzygium aromaticum) and many other ingredients.Khadira has been proven for its astringent and bactericidal properties, khadira as an analgesic and anticaries agent, manjishtha as an astringent, analgesic, anti-inflammatory blood purifier,clove as an analgesic, anti caries and antimicrobial agent, til oil as anti-plaque and anti gingivitis agent.

Is oil Pulling a substitue to brushing and flossing?

No. It needs to be practised along with one's daily oral care routine.

Is this to be done pre- or post- brushing?

As per Ayurveda, Oil Pulling is more beneficial when done prior to brushing.(Both in the morning and at night).

Is there a time gap between oil pulling & eating/drinking required?

No time gap is required between oil pulling and eating/drinking.

What if I cannot hold it in the mouth for full 5 minutes?

Ayurveda recommends holding the oil in your mouth for atleast 5 mins, however, oil pulling is a habit-building activity, and it may take sometime to build upto 5 mins.
